If I want to build my personal lab at home to practice for my CCNP tests, what I really need to have and what routers shold I go for? (...considering a reasonable budget).
Any suggestion will be appreciated.
Thanks.

i got

2 2503 routers with 12.0 IOS
1 2513 router with 12.0 IOS
1 1924 switch

Try to lease them out. It helps. If you need more information email me- akohli8745@yahoo.com

I would also recommend getting a set-based switch like a 5000 in addition to the 1900. The 2 switches have totally different commands for doing similar tasks. It would be good to get hands on with both of those.

There is a series of articles for setting up a home lab at www.tcpmag.com
