Now it´s official :
------------------
Ciscos recertification policy for CCNA + CCNP;

SAN JOSE, Calif., September 5, 2000:

...The first set of professional and associate Cisco Career Certifications expire on September 5, 2001, giving certified network professionals a minimum of one year to prepare, register, and pass the equired recertification exam...

see also http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/14.../wwc_090500.htm

------------------
Hmm... IMHO i think it´s okay to do so, just wondering how hard the recertifications will be though?

You have 3 years from your anniversary date to recertify.I got my CCNA in March 2000,I have until March 2003 to recertify or get my CCNP.

I think it is a bunch of bull**** Cisco is demanding I retake all my exams after I have gotten 4 tests into my CCNP. The old tests were out less than a ear before they were retired. This whole certification thing is looking more and more like an extortion racket and not a professional measure.

Mandeville,

Read the whole release from Cisco. CCNPs will have a single recert test to take every 3 years. It ain't that bad!
