sh ip bgp neighbor->Inbound path policy

| "Inbound path policy" refers to what exactly?
- filter-list
- distribute-list
- else?....
thanks for your comments

| I would say filter-list (in conjunction with "ip as-path...", as you might know). AFAIK distribute-list applies to network numbers, not to as paths. I'm not 100% positive, though...
Cheers!

| Hey frans,
I looked at the answers you've got at deja.com, and Barry's answer made me try this "path policy" thing. This is what I get in "sh ip bgp neighbor ...":
When I configured the neighbor with "filter-list 2 in":
...
<not relevant>
Inbound path policy configured
Incoming update AS path filter list is 2
<not relevant>
...
When I configured the neighbor with "distribute-list 22 in":
...
<not relevant>
Incoming update network filter list is 22
<not relevant>
...
I'll stick with my first answer.
Cheers!
