ospf->nssa->default route vs "default-information originate"
|
|
|
| a default route is automatically generated by an abr into a stub with a default cost of 1.
-does the abr automatically generate a default route into a nssa as well?
-if yes, what is the relation between this default route and the default route generated by
"area 10 nssa default-information orginate"?
thanks for your comments

| The NSSA specification (RFC 1587) says that an NSSA ABR or ASBR MAY generate a default route in the NSSA; it doesn't say it MUST generate. Although Cisco is well-known for not caring too much about specs that are not its own, the "default-information-originate" option makes me think they complied this time. In short, the answers to your questions would be:
1. No.
2. N/A
Cheers!
P.S.
I'm reasonably confident about this one.
