Author CCDA OR CCNA?

2000-12-19, 4:45 pm

can any one tell me what track to follow ?? is the ccda a cert that people really respect? or does everybody go for the ccna? I was wondering because I want to go into management and I'm thinking that ccda is the way to go?
I have about 2 years in the field and 2 mcps
I have a lot of exposure to routers but no actual configuring. Can anyone help me out?

A lot depends on your goals and experience in the field. If you want to be in design, CCDA and CCDP are the tracks to shot for.
If you are lacking in Cisco configuration and basic routing and switching, I would start with CCNA (basic foundation WAN/LAN technology and router configuration), and then decide if you want a supporting or designing role or even both.

I started with CCNA, and now I am working on my CCNP and CCDP.
