| Hey guys!! about to take my CIT exam this thursday...any tips on which areas to pay more attention to?? Also are you suppose to know the different frame formats i-e ethernet?? are there a lot of command questions or network scenarios?? any help would be greatly appreciated. | |

| Passed CIT today by the grace of God. Tough test and I mean tough!! Make sure you know how to read debug outputs and show command outputs. I thought i flunked the friggin' exam. The questions were a bit vague and confusing. My advice to you is to read the Cisco press book thoroughly.

| Great news Chuska! I have to admit I wasn't real confident when I hit that final answer either but I was lucky to get a pretty good score.

lots of debug and show commmand outputs ....some drag and drop questions..the exam covered all of the exam objectives..well almost all ..I had only one Appletalk related questions and it was fairly easy one regarding a commom AP network problem. There were a couple of network scenarios and a few type in questions....I think I mispelled one of the type in command questions. Used cisco press books. For all my exams I also used Smartforce CBTs ...I took a whole hour to finish the exam cause I had to carefully read every question. | |

Finally passed the CIT exam. As everybody else had said earlier in this forum, I found this exam to be littlr harder then the rest of them. well anyways good luck to you all. | |

Why would you say it is harder, is it the range of questions, the type-in, senerios, or what?
I have heard of some peolple doing support as their first exam in the ccnp track. What material did you think helped you the most.
