It may be a little overkill, but I've heard good things about CCIE Professional Developement: Routing TCP/IP. I think the second edition is supposed to come out soon, but you know how that goes.

Hi,
I have that book, volume 1, It is a good book but it does not cover BGP, which is the main fucus of the BSCN exam. Though it is a good book to refer any topic for details, it is not the book covering complete BSCN objectives.
Thanks,
Ravi

ya, the CCIE Routing TCP/IP is a great reference book but not much good for the BSCN exam. If all you need is BGP info, the Cisco website has a 60 page document on BGP that covers all you need to know. Then use the old ACRC books for OSPF, EIGRP and the other stuff....or just wait a few weeks and get the new BSCN book from Cisco Press.

Yankee, Thanks for your help, I am using ACRC book from Sybex and the Cisco TCP/IP routing book to prepare for BSCN. I also got the doc for BGP from Cisco site.

I don't have the course objective for BSCN, the information available at the Cisco site is not descriptive. Could you please help me out if you have any information on BSCN.

Thanks and Best Regards,
Ravi

I'm afraid I took the ACRC and not the BSCN but I can tell you what I have read...The following were on the ACRC but are NOT covered in the BSCN: DDR and bridging. OSPF was heavily covered in the ACRC and is still covered in the BSCN but to a lesser degree as well as EIGRP. BGP is the big thing on the BSCN.

I believe that info to be accurate but like I said I didn't take that exam so take it with a small grain of salt.

for 23.99, I can not complain about the exam cram for BCSN. Its not a thick book, no practice labs but is great when close to test time and very to the point....
