Finally, I got my CCNP a few days ago...
|
|
|
| Dear all,
I run through a long way path and finally got my CCNP...
The last exam that I took was the "support 2.0". For myself, I think this is the most difficult one among the other three. I suggest you all put more effort to study this exam.
Thanks

| Damn, another CCNP!
Just kidding, congratulation. Have you taken any course or by self study? There isn't many CCNP courses here except global knowledge and in my opinion, they are too expensive and I do it my self study.
I would like to know how long you mean by "long way path".

| Congratulation on your successful completion of the cisco career track.I will soon hope to join your primary ranking.I am schedule for routing exam in two weeks. | |
|
| To Joe,
I used 6 months to finish all the exam in CCNP by self study. You are right, I cannot afford to pay such high fee course like global knowledge. By the way, do you mind to share some experience with me?? I currently work as a support in telco with around one year experience and possess CCNP. So, would you suggest the salary range for doing support/network design jobs?
Thanks a lot
I will be much appreciate if you can answer my question.

I can't say what salary range with CCNP, it depend on your qualification. Whether you have a degree or not, what kind of jobs nature you are doing.
Take a look at www.countrytech.com and you should able to find the market price.
And I think it have a good future for CCNP.

| Joe,
I am a little curious, hope you won’t mind, could you let me know how long it took you to finish each of your certs: Win2K, CCNP, ATM, Security, etc.
It’s hard to catch up with people like you, isn’t it. Thanks,

| zzz,
Way to go. I do the same thing. I take one exam a month. I started eight month ago with my MCSE and it was done in six month. Now I'm going for CCNP, I have passed Switching and my next test is Routing. I will be done in January 2001. All by self-study. MCSE and CCNP in one year. A+ type of exams I don't even count. I got those done in 10 days.
good luck all | |

Dear ALL,
Same with me !
I got my CCNP last week after
studying for 1 month period !
(I gave the foundation exam and the CIT
and pass the CCNP exam)
I am working with cisco devices
for 3 years and I have only attend the CIT
course.
It is not so difficult to pass it if you
have job expirience !
Good Luck

| Thanks to all for sharing.
Every time after reading posts like these, I always studied extra hard the other day. That’s the reason I like this site— it gives me lot of motivation & encouragement…
I remember seeing a post something like this: for each CCNP exam, "no experience, good testing skill – 4 weeks; no experience, bad testing skill – 6 months…". Whenever I felt lazy to study, I would say to myself: Please study, otherwise you need 6 months! Now I add a new rule to it: No shopping, until finish 1 exam!
Again, thank you & good luck!
ZZZ: I decide to take Support last, thanks.

| Hi,
Congratulations!! wow! I am planning to take one of the 4 exams too. What do you think is advisable to take first? If you could give me the titles of the books you used and some other helpful materials, that would surely be appreciated.
Thanks and Goodluck to your career.

| Hi,
Anybody knows a good book or study guides for CCNP.
I am planning to take one. Your help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks | |
|
| Cisco press is soon (November-December) coming with the CCNP StudyGuide. One book covering most of what will be on the CCNP test. But for now, the only decent guides you can get is separate books on separate tests. | |
|
| anyone want 2 sale books about ccnp ?
all help is appreciated ...
also looking for couple of routers ... yes i have looked in ebay ...
thanks | |
|
| Wow, I'm amazed! How on earth did you guys pass all those test in such a short time? Are you just brainiacs, or something? I took a full two months for my CCNA exam...
I feel dumb, now!
Deets
P.S. Now I see. You guys have heaps of job experience. I came to networking with hardly any knowledge. What a difference two months makes!
