Why the lack of CIW interest from employers ?
|
|
|
| CIW seems to be one of the only web-related certs out there. Why is it that employers do not look for this like they would for MCSEs or A+ technicians?
Is it because ProSoft is doing a bad job at marketing it or is it because employers would rather see a portfolio of what "we" can do?
I currently do have a steady web dev job, but I'm just wondering why CIW hasn't taken off since it's one of the only web-related certs available.

| at the end of the day, most unsavvy employers will only recognise the microsoft name. most people i know have no idea what an a+ technician does.
i am considering the i-net cert, but may take any dreamweaver certs available before finishing ciw. | |

| Some of the HR people dont even know what CIW is all about!! To them, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA .....and other branded certs is all that values. | |

| It will take time, but people will recognize it eventually, since it is from M$. |
