| Sybex Partners with ProsoftTraining to Release Authorized CIW Study Guides
San Francisco, CA, January 8, 2002-- Sybex Inc., the world's leading independent computer book publisher, and ProsoftTraining (Nasdaq: POSO), the global leader in information technology (IT) curricula and IT job role certifications, announced today a partnership to produce retail Study Guides for the CIW (Certified Internet Webmaster) certification. The Study Guides, to be published by Sybex, will be endorsed by ProsoftTraining as being suitable for self-study by CIW exam candidates. CIW study guides will be available in retail outlets in the second quarter of 2002.
The CIW program provides curriculum and exams to validate expertise in Internet technologies for key IT job roles and the skills required to perform them. Leading organizations within the IT education and certification industry acknowledge CIW as an industry-standard IT certification, including the National Workforce Center for Emerging Technologies (NWCET), Association of Internet Professionals (AIP), and International Webmasters Association (IWA), Hong Kong Computer Society, Intel and Novell. With more than 35,000 certifications earned, CIW is the world's largest information technology job-role certification program.
