Is CIW really helpful?

| I got my CIW over a year, just Professional status, as I took the Foundations then Site Designer exam only.
I personally don't think obtaining a CIW is beneficial. Maybe it is because I have only taken those two exam and no others? I have been at the same job since those exams, so I am not trying to get something else right now, but I have looked at job announcements and never see anyone mention CIW.
If I were to pick it up again, I would continue on the developer track as that is what I enjoy and do now at work.
Is it really helpful to get this??
Thank you. | |

| IF Prosoft continues like they do for the next 2-3 years, CIW will be beneficial. Right now, better to use CIW to augment traditional certs form M$, Cisco, Novell, etc. | |

| Thanks Hacker,
That's what I would also like to hope for. I guess it will just take a while for employers to catch on to idea of CIW and what it is. I know I am only one with CIW at my work place out of about 4 people.
I think when I get ready to prepare for Java exam then maybe I will look into completing CIW Developer track. I assume Java exam is most difficult to obtain out of all Developer tracks.
