Author study requirements for Site Designer/E-Commerce

I was wondering if I could manage to pass the Site Designer and E-Commerce exams with just books that I buy off someone on the internet... or would the 5-day courses that give out the books be worth the time and trouble?

I know it's a general question, but please let me know as to the difficulty of the exams with regard to just studying from books and no classroom training. BTW, I took the Inet+ to take care of the Foundations...

I asked a similar question to the forum. See my thread called "What do you think about..."

Overall, I think that if you have the exam objectives, some notes, a great practice test bank, and a few recommended books that at least the site designer exam would be doable without the course. Where I live, the class costs a few grand so if you have money like that you can buy the course ware from computerprep.com and save the money for another course you may need along the way.

I'm still looking for used courseware to buy. It's hard finding them.

Good Luck

You should submit your i-NET+ test results to CIW and get the CIWA designation!

I know, I already have.

I'll have to see whether my company will pay for the $1495 5-day course and if not, I'll try to get them to pay for the $400 books... if that fails, I'll have to look to ebay or something... you've tried that right? Thanks for the heads up.

I used the CIW books. The exam is taken directly from the books. Some community colleges teach the course for $400.
The Ch_ _ _ Sh_ _ _ _ question bundle is the best bet.
I didn't take a class.
Wized through the test.
But I have experience, you must understand the material throughly because the real test questions can be very tricky if you don't know your stuff.
