Hello Everybody,
At last I've passed the CIW Foundation exam this morning with 90%

I wanted to thank everybody here for their valuable information and excellent dicussions and especially thanx Hacker and ddd

About the exam alot of it came from the measure UP tests and also from the self tests but there were many tricky questions realy some kind of it is:

On what basis do u select ur ISP ?
-technical support
-proximicity to ur home
-making available r kind of connection
and other choice i can't remember it really

also
Smal business company has two subs in the same town what should it use?
-thinnet
-fiber optics
-category 5
-category 6

also
A small business company wanted to upgrade its connections, it uses gategory 5 what should it uses?
-category 6
-coaxial cable
-fiber obtics

If anyone r sure of the answers plz tell me

Hey, congrats and a job well done. Your score should be an encouragement to everyone here.

For the questions, here are the answers:

(a) You select your ISP based on the support they can give for the type of connection you are subscribing to,

(b) If you need to connect subnets at 2 different areas, the only available option from the answers is fibre optic cable, That's the only one that can span long distances.

(c) Tricky, does not say for what purpose. Cat6 and Fibre are both considered an upgrade. But for a small business, definitely Cat6, since placing Fibre Optic would very soon bankrupt a small business.

I agree with hacker.....

a) first priority is support for type of conn

b) fibre optics

c) Cat6 (as specified by the curriculum - it is the most logical/efficient option especially if you have decided to upgrade to Eth.100)

You helped me alot while I was studying and now ur beside me sharing with me happiness and success, u r really great guys may God bless u all. Really wish u all success and happiness.

So tell me what I'm going to recieve from the CIW ??? card, certificate, what stuff shall I get beside this what do u recommend me to take next? designer or developer ???
and which one is worthy more in work field ???

I've passed today my Microsoft exam 70-100 which is "Analyzing req. "

so congratulate me hay hay hay

I'm really so so so happy and I intend to continue the rest of the track beside the CIW which is MCSD

so wish me luck I know a little about VB and good knowledge of databases coz I worked alot with Access and that's what encouraged me to take that exam.

Any way waiting ur recommendation for me my dear friends.
