| I finally passed the Security Pro exam!!! With 85% overall! I have to give props to Moonfang who sent me her books, and to Uncle Sid whose expertise really gave me the edge! I have worked in the Security area off and on for over 10 years, but without their help I would be dead! Twice I came within one question in one area of passing, so my advice to you is do not try this self study, unless you really really know what you are doing! Time for a myers and coke!!! | |

| There are a series of three books by Hal Tipton, and there is a company srvbooks.com which publish the only study guides ($198)for CISSP. I also would recommend joining a study group. There is one here in the Bay Area which is abouit an hour drive for me - www.cissp.com gave me alot of ideas, and also the local ISSA chapter. To just sit for the exam you MUST have a minimum of three years experience just to sit the exam. Most of mine was gained in a variety of disciplines during my 20 year career on submarines, ie network security, physical security, and a host of others. www.isc2.org has alot of info This is a 6 months of serious studying for the exam. It is not on Prometric, it is 200+ questions, and the average score is under 85%, and it takes up to 6 hours to complete because of the breadth of the subject. The bright side is you start at about 75K with nothing else, 100K+ if you have Cisco and Microsoft/Unix experience, Sorry to be sao long winded. | |

| Get the books if you want to pass!!! And hacker - Cissp.com has a list of recommended books to review the CISSP exam $400-$500 at amazon. | |

| Hello to you and CONGRATS for passing the security professional exam. Please is there any study material that you use for your preparation I did the exam on Saturday and failed my overall score was 87% 95% in network and firewall 91% in auditing and treat 69% in os security its very unfortunate I do want to take it again soon but I would need help on the Os security. please
