| Hi,
Right now I am in Germany and I am trying to write CIW Internetworking Professional. Has anyone good advice for this exam.
I can offer and help with questions on Foundations, Site Designer, e-commerce and JavaScript.

| The examination is divided into 2 parts:
(a) TCP/IP Concepts and Practices
(b) Advanced TCP/IP Internetworking
(a) is fairly straightforward if you have a CISCO cert under your belt, but (b) is somewhat of a challenge, you gotta know in detail IPv6.
It is therefore possible to get more than 75% but fail because you might score well in (a) but score below 70% for (b). | |

| The concepts for (a) would certainly help, and Network+ (www.comptia.org) would definitely give an overview to the subject material. I guess that is really not the problem.
(b) is more theorectical, and you do not need much (or any) practical experience, since it is at the concept level. But you will find the terms/terminology a bit confusing if you have no adequate background in networking.
There are a number of books on IPv6, and they are helpful, but you need to know for example, what Site-Level Aggregators are, IEEE-EUI-64 conversion process, IGMP, a few commands that Linux/Unix users would use to check the network status; flow label, payload length, padding, sequence numbers, etc, etc.
You really have to know these things on a broad level. | |

| get the troytec and you will pass. i am interested in site designer and ecommerce.
