someone i work with passed an MCSE exam today and i asked what was the pass mark. He said 660, and he passed with a 690 (i think).

Is it just me or is that a very low pass mark?

Its like saying, u only need to know half of the subject to get certified. I know ciw is 75% and the exams are somewhat easy, but CCNA is about 85% i think.

I just thought it was weird because it wouldn't be hard only getting 2 3rds of your questions right. just a thought

Internetworking is divided into two parts. The TCP/IP part is really easy for people with Cisco experience. Anyone should be able to score >90%.

It's the Advanced TCP/IP Internetworking that's tough. Consider yourself lucky if you manage 80%.

CIW exams are more for vanity right now, to augment rather than as a core cert like the MCSE or the CCNP.
