| Thank heavens that one is over. This exam reminded me of the Foundations test - lots of "scenario" type questions rather than straight testing facts. Also, lots of flannel and padding on the questions, pick that away and the actual question is quite straightforward.
I used Prosoft material for all 3 exams in this Certification and I did put in a lot of study time. I have to thank this forum for quite a lot though. hopewell's post below was VERY useful listing questions that came up; I reckon about half of that list I had come up too. The constant advice to answer the Objectives at the beginning of each chapter is something everybody should heed. Also, cert21 tests are VERY worthwile doing. All that put together enabled me to get the following scores:
Foundations - 88%
Site Designer - 92%
E Commerce Designer - 93%
So, what now? Well, a job for starters and the proof is now in the pudding as to how long it takes me to find work. I will probably get round to focussing on another CIW Track...... but not just yet hey??
Cheers!

| Thanks guys, it is a relief to have got it all out of the way!
ddd, when are you taking e-comm? You seem to be steaming through this Certification quicker than a lot of people? E Comm is tougher than Site Designer in my opinion as we tend not come across a lot of the detail in our daily working duties. However, you seem pretty confident so good luck when you get there.

| its funny u say that..........
i just decided i'll wait to get the courseware for the e-comm exam before i take it. Like you said, the other exams were straight forward since we come across that stuff in our daily duties.
I was trying to study for it without the Prosoft material but I just didn't feel confident......... Rather than waste $250 by failing the exam, I may as well do it properly and learn something at the same time opposed to rote memorization.
congrats again!!!
I've got both the e-comm and web languages books on their way...... (at least a week to sydney from the u.s i think) | |

| To use the Prosoft books. You get to answer the Objectives and also the chance to get into "Prosoft Speak" - a language all of it's own!! I also had one week instructor-lead training for each of Foundations, Site Designer and E-Commerce which was very useful.
I am trying to decide whether to sell my Course books. They have already proved good for reference but I have a total of 9 books taking up part of one of my bookshelves. I know I could get good money for them but I am not sure I want to let them go just yet!

| Congratulations on MCIWD! I,myself, attained that title last month, too. It feels good to complete a set of certification, doesn't it? I agree with you that the courseware from Prosoft along with cert21 and other study sheets from several sites were great help. No more certs for you? Feel good and enjoy the summer | |

| Yes, it is a good feeling to finish. I need to get a job now as I haven't been working during my studies and I funded the course myself.
I reckon Enterprise Developer is the next one to go for but, as you say, I shall enjoy the summer first I think!!
