Prosoft Courseware???
|
|
|
| Do you guyz/galz out there doing CIW exams use the courseware?
I have been told they cost approx. US$398 per module/exam. This equates to about AUS$750 which is just ridiculous.
I didn't use the courseware for the Foundations exam but am wondering if the site designer and e-comm exams are much harder.........
I have been doing a few prep exams for site designer and I think this one should be quite easy too, any help would be most appreciated.
Thanx ppl

| sorry that no one replied sooner. This is one of those questions that pops in every week and well...
First -- take a look through the history, there are many replies out there.
Site Designer -- I would get the course ware especially if you don't have the programs.
E-Commerce -- use the Microsoft Mastering B2B book. With on line resources you should be okay. I have a post with over twenty white papers somewhere in the history here.
To get the books always try ebay. People are selling them all the time.

| yeah thats all fine, except the courseware costs about $750.........
I could do the examine like 3 times before spending that much money.
I have done a lot of net research and think i should pass, i have been an intranet dev for about 2 years now and i basically know all of those programs and especially frames and tables.
Well i already have the test booked for midday tomorrow, so we'll see how it goes....
So do u think the e-comm exam is easier than the site des????????
I really appreciate the help guyz/galz!!!
Thanx | |

| Hey...
Didn't say that one exam was easier or harder than the other -- I tried to say that one is easier to prepare without the Prosoft courseware...
The SiteDesigner seems to me to be very much what Prosoft wants you to answer.

| thanx for the advice.........
I was just outbid on an eBay auction with only seconds to go for the e-comm books, so i might take your advice and try without them again.
I did however win the auction for the JavaScript/Perl books version 4, so it looks like im onto that module after the books arive from the u.s and after i do this e-comm.
One again thanx for your advice, I can't believe how i fluked the site des. exam.

btw, has anyone found the e-comm cert21 practice tests of any use? I hope they are closer to the real thing than the site des exams. |
