Hi everyone,

I passed!!!! Not a "fabulous" score, but passed. It was a challenging exam. Will say more in a little while. Jacuzzi here I come.

I'm just so glad to have it over. I've been consistently nailing these exams on a mission, and as tired as I am of studying, I will go on. E-commerce here I come.

As, I said I'll come back and post more helpful information afterwhile. First, I rest.

Thanks Bootdata,

So far, I'm using the ProSoft Books primarily. Also, study notes. One of my classmates recommended "E-business Thriving in the Electronic Marketplace" by Nahid Jilovec. He said it was an easy read of about 170 pages, and that it covered a good bit of what the exam focuses on. He passed the exam about a week and a half ago. Here's the link for it, it's a little pricey.

I think I'll take Casey's advice and focus on knowing the objectives as they are laid out in the ProSoft courseware, and if I get lost in the fray I'll pull from other resources for reinforcement in the areas of concern.

How about you? What are you using?

Congratulations!!!

It is an awesome feeling to finish another. I agree with following Casey's advice. He is a wise young man! Where did you pick up your courseware from? I can't remember if you already told us. Everyone keeps asking me but I order from a vendor that just offers to instructors.

Good Luck on E-Commerce. I need to take another round of exams soon myself. I took 7 during Feb/Mar and took April off I don't won't to get back on the saddle!

Hey San....

Thank you. I have the books from class.

You have my utmost respect on the 7 passes. Exams can really tire you out. I look forward to my upcoming little break. It will be 6 completed.

Way to go!!! Site is a pain in the XXX test, there's just alot of material that you need to cover, and the objectives are way too vague to help you focus your studies. Good luck on your future tests, you will do great!

hi girltech,

i was thinking of using from Prosoft Training, but the thing is very expensive for my pocket US$395
for a self-study guide, i think this is thing is way too expensive?!! but i think this is justified since it is an OFFICIAL study guide

check this out:

Bootdata,

I took a look at the link. Not bad. I understand about wanting to keep costs down, the materials offered by ComputerPrep line up with the materials provided by ProSofttraining.com / CIW.

Is there a vast difference in cost?

I don't know, the feedback I've received locally indicates that this exam isn't that difficult. And the candidates here that I've spoken with indicate that most of the questions stem from chapters:

7 (B2B Frameworks),
9 (Implementation and Case Studies), and
17(Transaction Security).

If you can find a source that covers those key areas, and supplement the focus on the remaining chapters (review the online outlines of the books to know what the chapters entail) with the online study guides / cramnotes, you'd probably be in good shape. Think about that. Let me know how you make out.

The race isn't given to the swiftest or to the strong but those who endure and make the passing score!

Keep up the good work!

Well done on passing. Good stuff. My exam is coming up on the 8th of June.

Do you have any advice on what to look out for in the exam? I know it was a couple of days ago you wrote and most of it is probably a blur by now but anything you can remember on what was asked, key areas you think one should go over etc would be of help.

Thanks

Ash
