| I was reviewing the thread discussion that later developed at the end of "Failed CIW Site Design test", and my question is this:
Not to beat a dead horse here, but does the exam currently question us on FrontPage 2000?
My Prosoft course books are version 4.07, and Lesson 17 discusses FrontPage 98, but I see no mention of 2000.
Should I include 2K for possible questions?
Thanks
It's 2:15am I'm so outta here!!!!! I didn't realize the time.... geez...

| Well I haven't heard of any of my students getting any FP98 questions on their tests lately. Do you have a copy of FP2K?? I would score one and peruse the interface just to be on the safe side. Either that or hope you dont get a question pool that has FP questions!
Cheers

| Thanks Casey,
I'm going to download the trial for FrontPage 2K, and gloss over a review of 98 in the event they decide to sneak a question in on that technology. In reviewing the www.ciwcertified.com site, I see they list 98 and 2000
Skills Measured by Exam 1D0-420
Web Design with FrontPage98
Site Development with Microsoft Front Page 2000

| Yeah -- the criteria includes FP98 and FP2000! Most of the material I have seen about the test lately is more about the functionality of the programs not the specifics... Like -- it doesn't cover a specific view in FP, instead it asks for the best choice to use for creating ASP's for a new designer... Or something like can you use FP to allow many people to develop a site.
I don't think you need to be REALLY comfortable with the programs, I think knowing the strengths and weaknesses of choosing one tool (program) over another is enough.
Sorry for the late reply -- this new site does not agree with either IE6 or my computer. It took four refreshes and 10 minutes to actually get this reply window up | |

| Thanks for the heads up San..., and what a bummer about IE6. I'm still with IE5, and I've been meaning to upgrade, but simply have not taken the time to do it. I think I'll hold out a little longer. | |

| Whoa there Sailor's
I honestly have to say I am not yet down with IE 6. I put it on a couple of 2K machines, and 9x boxes..and I didnt have any good results from it.
IE 5.5....Nice.

| hehehehehe
Actually the biggest problem with IE6 beta is the caching of cookies. For some reason it freaks out every 100th click. Oh and the URL gets screwed up. I can type www.microsoft.com/mcp -- and it will automatically redirect me to Cert21.com or yahoo.com or somewhere else from my history.
I haven't noticed anything really great about it... The 'Personal Bar' is cool but not really that useful to me...
IE 5.5 -- Stay with it
IE 6 beta -- barely worth the headache
Casey -- a nice kiss-up |
