Hi, I'm looking to get certified in web developer / webmaster / web designer programs. I will be doing CIW soon, but I was wondering if anyone had heard of this other one that I came across: http://www.webmastercertification.com -
Is this a reputable one? Has anyone done this certification?

Would appreciate any info ya'll may have.

Thanks a bunch!

Take a look at Casey's post earlier: http://www.examnotes.net/forums/sho...&threadid=16476

He explains a little about how to get both by just going for the CIW... Maybe he will share his INCREDIBLE wisdom with you! lol

I have Never heard of this particular branding of certification. The courses do not look too tough however. The problem is the reputation. Is there one??? I dont think so. 5000 trained professionals isnt too much. I would still have to say Go CIW.
With a CIW cert you can join the IWA, and get their certs for Free, you can also get the Igeneration certs easily seeing how their tests look like the CIW tests.
If you are going to go for light certs, you might as well get Brain Bench certs. Oddly enough, I take Brain Bench tests to practice for my CIW exams, and sometimes I get more recognition from my BrainBench Certs than I do from CIW.

If you have a few extra bucks and the knowledge take the tests. But I caution you from using the webmaster certs as your main certification solution.

Do or Do Not. There is no try.

....The force is strong with this one : > )

Thanks for the information. This has been extremely helpful.

I just received my INET+ book today and will be hoping to do that one first since it replaces CIW Foundations. Once I'm done with that, I'm going to look into the other CIW exams. Do you have any book suggestions? I went to the site listed on the official CIW site, but the study suites and guides are way over my price limit. I haven't found any books out there to study from like the ones that are for MCSE, CNE, Network+, etc. Do you know if they are planning on publishing CIW books like the ones for the other certs? Or can you recommend me some books or cbt's that aren't in the $500+ range? If that doesn't exist, I guess I will have to save up.

Thanks again for all of your help.

Jessica
