Am I the only one waiting ad nauseum for my cert/logo access?

| Sorry for the negativity today, but I'm WAY sick of waiting for CIW to get their collective butts in gear and get me my cert/logo access. I cant imagine that it takes *months* to get them out the door.
That's not good business for a fairly new cert program.
I'm eager to get access to the logos for my business cards and my resume. I think waiting months is unfair to people who are interested in embarking on a job search soon after certification.
I have sent a concerned letter detailing the specifics to the CIW people today, but I just had to vent; and I know this is not a new issue here at these boards.
Anyone else waiting impatiently?

p.s. I got access to the CIW associate logo a full FOUR MONTHS after passing the i-Net and completing the CIW agreement. | |

| Did you 'sign' the online agreement? I thought they didn't send the certificates out until you did that.
I have to say I got mine the next week, and it was a nice certificate with actual blue ribbon and all the info to download the logos...
Where have you been e-mailing asking about the status? | |

| Oh yes, I signed it electronically and also sent it in; quite some time ago.
I emailed the cert dept there per their FAQ instructions on delayed delivery of certs. I included all the pertinent info like my exam id number, etc. Just for insurance, I even copied the customer service dept.
I haven't moved, they have my address correct from the CIW Associate cert I received...
So you see I really have done everything correctly and I'm still S.O.L. until someone at CIW sees me as more than just another number.

| Don't feel like you're all alone. I went several rounds with CIW before receiving my
Master CIW Designer certificate. I even went so far as to return the 3rd copy they sent to me of my professional certificate directly to Jerry M. Baird (Chairman of the CIW Certification Board). THAT got their attention! The person to deal with is Robin Raviglia at Prosoft/CIW. Call her. You can get the general number at the Prosoft site and ask for her. The only way CIW will improve their certificate distribution process is to contact Prosoft DIRECTLY.

| I think we all had a go around with this topic about 2 months back. Dont feel bad Heather, that's just the way Prosoft Training is. I am still waiting for my Ecomm Cert. BTW I passed the exam in 99.

| Well, I finally got *something* from CIW - a "CIW Professional" Certificate; which is fine, but
a) it's still not the Master Cert
b) they didn't print my name the way I requested
c) most importantly, no info came with it about downloading logos
So I wrote again... and am once again awaiting a response...
I guess I expected better - we put forth a great effort in time and monetary expense to achieve the cert and they just don't seem to care.
I have no problem writing, calling, etc. to get results, but it shouldn't have to be that way.

| I almost hate to post this message but...
Heather -- I just received a certificate for CIW Professional (which I wasn't expecting). I had already received the CIW CI welcome kit a few weeks ago. On the welcom letter it tells me how to download the logo and a password for the site...

| Jeeze, this is silly, No way it should take as long as some of you guys are saying . . .
I passed the Ecommerce designer on 3/24 and Site Designer on 4/16. I signed the online agreement on 3/24. I haven't heard jack yet but it looks like I should not hold my breath.
Also, I have not recieved any "Official Grade Reports" from Prometric . . . at least that would prove I passed the freaking exams. | |

| I am also waiting for ny CIW certification. I submitted all my material for a CIW reciprocal certification (for passing I-Net) over a month ago and have not gotten my certificate. I wrote the two days ago and they acknowledged they had everything on record they needed and were unsure why the certificatin had not been mailed. You are not alone. | |

| Well, first an update - they did send me access info to the master CIW logos via email - but I never did receive the letter / kit thing;
Sooo... the only thing left is getting the MASTER Cert (have the Assoc & Professional)
Editorial: Comptia was WAY more together on this function.
Well, I guess all you have to do is complain a little - as I said before, too bad it has to be that way.
Good luck to the rest of you on getting the certs and the lesson here is don't wait around for Prosoft, contact them if you've waited for more than 2-4 weeks.

| Microsoft is actually even better than CompTia. You get an e-mail within, maybe two days and I got the cert packs within two weeks, including the a new card, pin and sheets of the logo so you can drop them off at a printers...
FYI -- I am heading out of town for work for the long weekend... So if you don't see me much I am either working or enjoying some Canadian beer  |
