| Hi Guys,
I just got my CiW Associate paper in the mail today. Other than some lil catalog of CiW clothing and other merchandise, I did not recieve a wallet card or pin, similar to the MCP track (you get a wallet card and a pin). Even comptia at least gives you a wallet card.
I am also a MCSE in the NT4 track. If i submit my MCSE and take that one "upgrade" test to become a Master CiW, do you get a wallet card or a pin at that higher level?
Just curious.
BTW, for those that faxed in your I-Net+ exam results in order to get your CiW-A cert, it only took me 5 weeks to get it.
Thanks. | |

| You know what. CIW doesnt passout any of that stuff. But if you are lucky, they will give you a 5 dollar off coupon for one of their polo shirts!

| Does the Master CiW certificate look any different than the Associate one? Or do they all look the same? | |

| I passed My MCIWSD in 99 when we were using the v3 stuff, back when EComm had bith Site Server and IBM Web Sphere solutions on both IIS and Netscape Enterprise Server, I have been teaching it since early 99, and I have yet to see my MCIWSD certificate. I have many versions of my professional certs which range in looks from the graphic embossed certs they mailed back in 99 to the blue on tan, or blue on grey things they mail out now. Honestly, I couldnt tell you wether they look the same, because Prosoft changes it's certs all the time.

| The cheap paper it was printed on doesn't matter that much. The important thing about this certification is the validation that you know internet programming and of course, the logo that you can plaster on resumes and business cards
Look at it this way -- they can start giving nice wallet cards and print the certificates on nice paper and then like Microsoft they can start charging me to be certified (MCT Cert now costs $400 a year)...
(Seriously -- you should attempt this certification to focus your learning!) |
