| . I am new to computers, I am interested in the CIW cert what is the best route to take to get to a CIW cert, I currently have no certifications.Also no formalized training . If there is any suggestions on courses to take please let me know. | |

| I would suggest the A+, Net+, INet+ route first, especially since you can get the CIW-A by just passing the INet+ exam. | |

| I think u can go on with the CIW as I did myself and it was really good and not so difficult, get the material, study hard and if u stop infront any point don't hesitate to ask asd we all here to help each other.

| I'd recommend you to get some knowledge of basic networking, like Network+, to build your foundation in networking. | |

| Buy these 4 books:
- Where wizards stay up late / K. Hafner
- HTML for the WWW / E. Castro
- How Networks work / f.J. Derfler
- How the Internet works / P. Gralla
They start real basic, but cover the complete foundation exam!
