CIW now recognizes MCSE and CNE certs

| Attention MCSEs and CNEs! CIW now recognizes your certification and counts them towards the CIW master administrator. This is how it works: CIW will waive 2 out of 4 exam required for the Master administrator certificate. If you have MCSE and I-NET+ certification, then you will only need to pass one exam - 1D0-475 to obtain the CIW master administrator certificate

Also they are more cheaper Webmaster courses around

| Good luck with your MCSE. You will soon find that everyone and their dog has an MCSE and it is not so highly sought after anymore. Get in line with the rest of them.
At least having a CIW certification will make you stand out in a crowd whether or not you have an MCSE. CIW is just starting to take off here in Canada and I believe that its recognition will grow - but not with help from people like you.
And do you really think that an MCSE certification is cheap?? Wake up! | |

Also there is shortage in malaysia for MCSE ~~both lecturer and MCSE holder.
Also MCSE is worldwide recognition NOT like silly courses "CIW" . EKkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

| We'll here in Canada the MCSE is much more costly then the CIW cert.
Just for the rest of you, since I got my Master CIW Designer cert, I have had lots of work and made some good money. So, I am very satisfied and glad I took the courses. It opened many more doors for me than not having any certification because I did not have much experience.

| I think it is better to have certs of any kind than none at all. I only had an A+ and got a Job as Network Coordinator at Duke. They were looking for someone with web experience, which I had, but no certs.
They still hired me, but the certsifications I have now would have made it even easier to switch jobs. I have continued getting certified, just in case I had to leave. Not many people ( in the whole scheme of things) even had certifications. I have found that getting certified shows an employer your willingness to continue to improve your skills. It never hurts to improve yourself regardless of the certifications.
I would say focus on the areas you are most interested in, not just to get certified in the most "popular" program. What if you get a job as an MCSE, but hate the work? The MCSE is then useless. I'm glad I did not get an MCSE (no thanks Microshaft), but instead focus on what I enjoyed. The opportunities are still there.
Go sell your "silly" ideas somewhere else i_dot.

MCSE certification has been in the market for a certain period of time. and in the initial stage of that certification (NT3.51)
no one knows about it, but now, it is quite essential to get one to be an admin.
so do CIW exam, even not too many people know this certification, but this certification will have a chance go grow, right ?? thats why i suggest helan to get that before it gets popular. it's always good go grap a cert before every one does.

| Microsoft is forcing you to get MCSE in windows 2000, when hardly anyone is using it. We have an NT LAN with no plans to switch anytime soon. But all the NT exams are being retired, so it would be a waste for me right now to even pursue a cert that will be invalid within a year unless you upgrade to Win 2000. And, if you don't pass the transition exam to 2000 you have to start all over. What a rip. As I said...Microshaft. They can keep their MCSE stuff, I don't need it. The web is where it's at anyway. |
