| IMO, the most difficult part of the 70-228 exam is all the exhibits (pop-up diagrams) that you have to suffer through to figure out the question. There are a lot of questions with two or three exhibit boxes where you need to read the text of the question, look at the first diagram, look at the second diagram, re-read the question and then read the answers. This can take up a lot of time and I ended up running out of time for the last fifteen questions. I had to rush through them and made a lot of mistakes.
The test center only had a fifteen inch monitor, so if you are lucky enough to find a test center with a seventeen inch monitor for the test that will help immensely so you don't have to do as much scrolling.
As for the books, I used a Microsoft book and practice test to prepare for 228 and I wouldn't recommend it. The MeasureUp practice tests are owned by Microsoft and will probably not give you an accurate measure of your preparedness for the test.(i.e. they ask questions that are not going to be on the real test, distract attention from the areas you really need to focus on and give false confidence in areas that won't be on the test) At least get the free demos from Transcender, Self Test and Boson. Use the free Cramsession study guide. Use SQL Books Online to research some of the more obscure questions that they ask on this test. Good luck !!! |
