I am looking to attend the new MOC for Yukon. The course is MOC2733. I have found the course on the east coast, but would really like to take it in the west. Does anyone have any info on this course? If not, is there any interest? I know a big response will get the schools to schedule an available MOC.

Thanks

I don't have any info for you on Yukon. However, when the time comes I'm going to have to up my certs on that one... so anything you find out please post for us. I haven't heard a word about Yukon in months and was starting to think it was going to be another .net. My company uses SQL heavily and Yukon knowledge will definitely be needed once its released. Please let me know what you find out!! Thanks

Okay, this is probably common knowledge by now, but here's what I have:
Yukon has officially been put off til 05 with a semi-official spring release. I know MS dates don't mean much, but this is similar to what they did with Win95 when they finally cut their losses and settled on a date. Betas are still in early phases, but they are out there. And the course I listed above is actually in circulation in places. In fact, half my motivation in taking this course was to get my hands on a Beta and test drive it a little.

I figured they were doing another .net (delay it for a year or two). If you want the betas, keep an eye out on the newsgroups. They usually post them. I wouldn't waste your money on a course (or your company's depending on your situation) until a full release has come out. Thanks for the info, I wasn't sure if they had changed their stance on the situation or not.

I suggest that you do nothing until Delaney publishes her next book on Yukon, "Inside Microsoft SQL ???". That is the first book I read in preparing for both 028/029 and 228/229.

Good advice on that book. I've loved previous versions. I think getting a beta is as much as I'm hoping for at this time. I'd like a head start, but I'll settle for what I can get.

Thanks
