Hi everybody, i'll be clicking the 70-228 on friday, there is a lot material to study. I have studied a lot with the training kit and the SQL Book on Line that Microsoft let you install when you install SQL Server (this one is great!). As you know there is a lot to study for this exam .
Could you give me a last advice with this exam? The hardest topics, or any important information before taking this exam?

In advice, thanks!

how long did you study for the exam. I was suppose to take Saturday (yesterday). But after I started going through the BOL, I started finding stuff I'd never heard of going through just the MSP book. The plan is to take it Wednesday (depending on how I'm feeling then)

Hi,
Result: Passed
I studied the 228 for 2 months and 15 days, the bol is the best book that you could find when you need a good reference when you know exactly what you want to know. My stunding technic was this one:

1 Read the Training Kit 70-228 and have a little hands on training
2 The SQL Server Administration for Dummies This one is great, because it give to you what you need to know "for the exam"
3 When i have problems i go to the BOL, this helped me specialy with Transact-SQL.
4 If you have a chance, try to create an application with an application that you created for any porpouse that need to access a database, this will help you a lot specialy with transact-SQL because you will have problems that you will resolve it.

Take care with the indexes

Good Luck!!!

But isn't 228 quite different from 028 since sql 2000 has tons of new stuffs comparing to sql 7.0?

Congrats on passing this exam. I am almost done with the MS book for this one and should be ready to take the exam soon. Any other pointers?
