| Hi,
I am studying for MCDBA..SQL Server 2000.
I have passed 70-228, 70-229 and 70-215(today.)
I have to choose an 'Elective Exam'. I am a DBA...not a developer. I am choosing between 70-216 (networking) and 70-019 (datawarehousing.)
My questions are:
* What happens to my MCDBA when 70-019 is dropped (2004)?
* Where are the books on 70-019?
* Did people find it a 'struggle' to pass 70-216?
Thanks,

| if you take the 70-019 now, next year your will lose the mcdba title and you have to take an elective paper to remain the title.
70-216 is not difficult.
i advise you to take 216 now.

| If you really want to "future-proof" your MCDBA cert. then you should take 70-293 (Windows 2003 Network) instead of 70-216 (Windows 2000 Network). It was just added to the MCDBA electives on Friday, June 27th.
Also note that 70-019 cannot be used with the Windows 2003 tests. The Windows 2003 Integration FAQ addresses these issues. | |

| Thanks,
I checked out the syllabus for 70-293. It looks to be 'at a higher level' than 70-216. This suits me. Has anyone taken 70-293?
