| I used the SQL 2000 Administrator's Companion by Microsoft Press to start learning SQL. Before reading that I knew nothing about it, and had never really worked with it. The book is 1000 pages, and explains all of the concepts for administration and defines most of the programming concepts. I thought it was an excellent introduction, and it was good enough to study from for me to pass 20-228. It is not geared towards any one certification, so it goes into much more detail about certain topics ( like 150 pages on replication) that other books I have read don't even mention, but the test will ask you a few questions on. |
