| 5 down, 2 to go. 70-228 is pretty hard, but it is passable. Can anyone out there provide any insight about 229 and what I can do to pass it? Thanks. | |

| The test is as I said, pretty hard. There are only 45 questions, but there's no such thing as a short or brief question in the test anywhere. Most of the questions require two or more answers and to tell you the truth, many are so similar to each other that they all look the same after an hour in there. I'm not going to give details on questions since I don't think I'm supposed to here, and I simply like to push all the questions out of my head as soon as I finish the test. Good luck on tuesday though. | |

I made extensive use of both Microsoft's training kit and the Transcender exams to pass 70-029 (it has to be similar to 70-229) on the first try.
I have taken and passed 5 other MCP exams since then, and it remains the toughest of the lot. It had a lot of scenario-type questions where you had to read a lot of details and pick out the pertinent facts, and relatively little time to do it in. I finished with 2 minutes to spare.
It sounds like 70-228 is much the same. Owell, I hope that my 70-029 background, plus a lot of recent study will be enough to pass this beast.

| I passed 70-228 today on my first attempt, and didn't find it that hard (70-029 retains that "honor").
However, I will say: Thank goodness that's over and done with! Now, on to 70-217 at flank speed! I'm keeping up a nice brisk pace here, passing one exam every 2 weeks.
As a bonus, this latest pass on my way to the MCSE should have earned me MCDBA status. I'll find out when I check my e-mail tomorrow.

| Blah - my MS transcript still hasn't been upgraded to reflect my 70-228 pass. They're sure taking their time with this one!
