Hello everyone.

Any advice for someone getting ready to tackle 70-019 (i.e. books, online resources, etc.)?

I just passed 229(sat)/228(wed). Is it just me, or was 228 a little more difficult than 229? I realize this if a very subjective question, but man was 228 a pain!

Amazon has some used copies of the official training kit from Microsoft for sale. Transcender has a set of practice exams and flashcards available, as well.

I am using both resources.

Speaking of transcenders, the 70-019 test software is currently on sale ($99), still a bit high for most of us though. You might also want to check out the Wrox book, Professional SQL Server 2000 Data Warehousig with Analysis Services.

I like to take the view that $99 for a Transcender practice exam is a better deal than one failure at the real thing ($125).

Looks like we are reaching a consensus here, although I like the extended view myself. Something like $99 + $125 + cost of Wrox book + cost of training kit. I too like to see the pass bar on the first go at it. BTW, thanks for the tip on the training kit from amazon, picked one up for $24 and some change. Good luck with your studies.
