Dear Adorik:

Here is what I got:

One graphic of 'Excution Plan' for you to tell what's going on with this graphic.

One drag and drop for you to sequence order the stored procedure.

One graphic show the details (when you hover mouse on the item).

several scenarios ask you which one is better choice? view, sp? trigger? or function?

Two questions about access permissions.

Two questions about XML (one which type XML, one how to open XML)

Unfortunately, I am 58 and forgot most of them after I had a good sleep of relief.

Good luck.

Dear Adorik:

I rembered several more:

One question asks you to specify file size, maxsize and filegrowth when create database.

One join question asks you pick up one from Full Outer Join, Left Outer Join, Right OUter Join, Cross Join from the exhibited tables

One cast question

One transaction question asks you which line code is wrong

One index question asks you how to change index if you already create a clustered index.

One question asks you how to create trace file, then monitor, then replay, .....

If I can remember more, then I will come back for you.

Congrats Coco! About fu**ing time! Good luck with 70-215, I think you will find it to be much easier than the SQL tests. I would recommend taking 70-210 beforehand (if you haven't already) though because it covers most of the same topics as the Server exam, and makes the server exam really really easy if you have taken it. Send me an email if you need any help or tools.

Dear necrophantasm, I would hope I understand correctly that MCDBA asks 70-229, 70-228, 70-215 and 70-216.

If this is correct, I have no plan to take 70-210.

Coco, I didn't know if you planned to get your MCSE too...

congratz
coco,
if you plan to get MCSD beside your DBA, I think will be better if you take 175 instead of 216
175 will drive you in depth programming & DBA tasks, also overlapping with MCSD requirement

Dear mchoirul:

I did plan to take MCSD after DBA. In this case, it will be better to take 176 (instead of 216).

But I changed my mind, because I am jobless for more than 6 months now and I have to use my money very carefully.

To me, it is very hard to get a job only with cert. People still criticize that I have no experience. Moreover, 175 and 176 are really very hard for me. (After this 229, I really feel afraid of the programming).

What I think is:

with 216 test result, plus my previous work
experience in PC field, it 'might' be eassier to find a job (than DBA and MCSD).

Do you think so???

Dear necrophantasm:

At the present moment, I do not any plan to pursue MCSE. As I express above, I need to use my money very careful. I am 58 now and really very hard to study 7 total courses.

What do you think???

Coco,

The MCSE isn't going anywhere. If you want to be a web developer (like the programmers in my company using SQL and ASP) then your MCSE isn't going to help you out too much. Go for the MCSD, there will always be time later to do something different once you are in a job and get bored.... good luck on the rest man!

if you have no experiences in programming, don't run to MCSD
MCSA / MCSE field is more suitable for you for administration area.

I think after you have finished 216, you can go with 218 and 210 for MCSA.

It's more realistic for entry level position instead of MCSE. Save your money & energy

good luck

Thanks dear mchoirul.

It is a good idea to pursuit MCSA (instead of MCSE, because so many tests and I am slow learner).

I checked CompTIA web site and just know that I only need to take three tests (215, 210 and 218) to get MCSA cert (because I already have A+ and Netwoor+ and I can get one credit).

It is really a good idea for MCSA and I will think about that.

Thanks again.

yes,
and you can add 228 to becoming mcdba along the way

cocolocopolo

2002-12-04, 1:13 am

Thanks dear mchoirul.

That's right.

I am preparing 70-215 now and try get MCSA first then come back take 70-228 to complete DBA.
