SQL Server not known to be running

| Hi all,
I get the following error message when I start SQL Server Enterprise Manager:
"The SQL Server \\JDEENT is not known to be running. Are you sure you wish to connect?"
The OS is Windows NT Server 4. SQL Server is version 7. The SQL Server Agent is started and running.
Also, the server icon looks different. It has a squiggly red line like a thunderbolt. (See attached image)
Anyone has any experience or any idea about this?
Thanks. | |

| That message appears when the state of your Server is not known. When prompted, click yes, because you want to connect.
As for the zigzag line, this is a sign that you are successfully connected to your SQL server.
cheers,

p.s. from the picture you've posted, I can see that you Server is Up and Running. Have a great time | |

| I've had SQL Server 7.0 running on a server for about a year now and never experienced that problem. But last week from my workstation I got that exact same message everytime I open SQL EM for a few days. I rebooted the server and it seems to be fixed now. | |
