| I am also preparing the SQL test.
So far as I know, most of the body suggest take 229 first, then 228.
Anyway, if you are really at SQL, then you can take whichever number you like.
would like to hear some other body's advice.

| For some strange reason I studied both 228 and 229 at the same time and doing both exams on the same day!! Out of the two I found 228 the easier of the two. | |

| If you have design experience, take 229 first. If you have admin experience, take 228 first. There's a lot of overlap in the exams, so I'd definately suggest taking them back to back, whichever order you decide on.
Frank, I found 029 to be easier than the material for 228, but I have a lot of design experience -- the hardest part was learning the "Microsoft way!"
