| 029 wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. I passed it and scored well. This leaves me with only 1 more test to take before I am a MCDBA. | |

| Woo hoo -- congrats!
Any notes? I'm particularly interested in how much emphasis is placed on the proprietary T-SQL syntax. So far I'm almost through the objectives, and that's the only thing different from the first Oracle exam. It looks like it'll be a cake walk.

| Nichole,
There wasn't emphasis on T-SQL statements. To me the test was very logical. If you have a DB background, you are able to logically figure things out. I basically just read the Sybex study guide, and went to Borders and reviewed the Exam Prep book by Corolis. Studied about a total of 3 hours before taking it. But I have been working with SQL 7 for a while. You should do fine if you have the background of Oracle.

| Thanks, Playboy. All I've done is read through a SQL Server book (a couple of chapters to go), and I seem ready to take the exam, but you never know if the book is just not covering what you need to know | |

| Anantha,
The books I used are listed above in one of my responses and also look at www.cert21.com for free practice questions and you can purchase more if necessary. Again I have a SQL background. Hope this helps and best wishes in your studies and testing! |
