I am currently finishing up my MCSD. Just have 1 more test and I will have it. I was thinking of going for my MCDBA as well. The question is: With my MCSD, would I only need to take two tests to complete the MCDBA? Two of the tests required for the MCDBA, I have already finished in my MCSD. I was just wondering.

Thanks,
Keith

For the requirements for MCDBA status please check http://www.microsoft.com/trainingandservices/default.asp?PageID=mcp&PageCall=requirements&SubSite=cert/mcdba&AnnMenu=mcdba

Thanks for the link. I do know what the requirements for the cetification are. I just want to make sure that they allow you to use the same exam for multiple certifications. I don't think I am exlaining it well. I am confusing myself.

For example:

for my MCSD I have taken
- 70-175
- 70-176
- 70-100
- 70-029

Requirements for MCDBA would be
- 70-215
- 70-028
- 70-029
- 70-175

Since I have finished 70-175 and 70-029 with my MCSD, all I should need to get my MCDBA is 70-028 and 70-215. Correct???

Thanks

Hi Keiffer,

They do let you use the same exam for more than one certification, so your plan should work.

Here's a tip for you: if you want get answers to this type of question from the horse's mouth, you can email mcp@msprograms.com. I have found that they respond quickly - within a couple of days - and clearly.

Be sure to give them your MCP ID so they can look up your transcript!

Cassie,

Thanks for the info. That is what I thought, but just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the confirmation.
