SQL server exams - Study Material

Hello:

I am studying for 228 and 229. I have set up SQL Server on my network and using labs in MCSE training kit,Syex book by Gundeloy, and got my hands on a Resource kit. To round out my training,I would like to pick up some pretest material such as Troy, Transcenders, etc. Would anyone recommend a couple of good, concise and accurate material.

I used troytech on my last 5 tests and they have worked well for me. I also read a microsoft press book before I used the study guide. When I took the 70-228 test, troytech didn't have a study guide out on it but they do now. I ended up using cheet sheets and passed my 70-228 test on the first try. I know that troytech still doesn't have the 70-229 study guide out yet so I'll probally use cheet sheets again (that is of course after I finish reading my microsoft press book on it).
It seems like the biggest difference between the two is cheet sheets questions are more like the real ones but sometimes you have to research the question quite a bit to get the full answer.

Hope this information gives you some ideas.

Hello,

When I prepared for the two SQL Server exams, I used Books On Line very heavily, following the Microsoft Skills Lists for the exams.

I also used the Beta versions of Transcender for both exams, and I believe they are out in full release now, I found them very very good.

Finally, I've posted my study notes and some SQL practise drills at my web page if that is any help to you.

I would recommend looking at www.Forward123.co.uk and getting its Questions and Answers with Detailed Solutions. These are very similar to cheat sheets, however the answers with Forward123 are correct. Also they provide Detailed Reasons about the answers. It costs only 14 US dollars.
