Microsoft has announced new certification requirements. According to a newsflash that I received from cramsession, MCDBA SQL 7.0 will no longer be recognized. About 3 weeks ago, I was just days away from taking 70-029. As you guy's can appreciate, after a tremendous amount of study, time, and a lot of sweat, I decided to jump ship and go the 2000 route. It was frustrating because of the investment that I made, but I believe it will be worth it.

Now that I have been studying the 2000 program, I have found it to be much more difficult than 7.0 , with several additional words to learn in T-SQL and several new additions like "XML".

I can sympathize with any of you out there who are struggling on which way to go. Just remember, that the harder it is, the less people who will make the commitment, and the more demand there will be for your expertise.

Hang in there!
