| Can someone point me to the best and definitive guides, resources, dumps etc.
With the extension from MS, I will do this one after Net Ess.
Cheers

| Hal,
You are a smart guy - you can do this without braindumps!!!
Use the study guide and practice tests on this site. They are pretty good.
Also - just as an aside, are you the same HAL9000series that has been running through the forums tonight telling everyone they shouldn't be taking retiring exams? I'm just curious.

| I am not telling people they shouldnt take retiring exams just wondering why they are making extra work by doing the electives twice !!

| Why are you Hal?
I'm just curious because I am taking TCP/IP right now, and you are planning to.
As I said before, there is nothing wrong with taking retiring electives, and everybody has their own motivation.

| OK I was just concerned that maybe I was missing some hidden knowledge re the NT4 MCSE requirements.
Now that we have got that cleared up, what books do you recommend ?

| I used the Sybex book and the Exam Cram book. Both seem good.
I am also using the cramsession, and the study guides from this site.
I am writing tomorrow afternoon, so we will all know by then how good my study material is.
Math is not my best subject, so I do not expect to do well.

| Make use of the Microsoft Readiness Review book too - it gives u MS worded questions and answers - I came across questions listed in here, on the actual exam!!! | |

| TCP/IP has evolved into a necessity with Windows 2K. You really need to know it inside and out! Keep charging onward. Incidentally, my MCSE electives were TCP/IP and IIS (both of which will soon be retired.) As you may know, the MMC in IIS is also used in Win2k.
Also be sure to check out freak's site and the excellent info on subnetting at: http://www.mcsefreak.com/subnetting.htm
As I recall from my test, know why you can't see other computers on the same net, why you can't find them by name, why you can't ping a remote computer, etc... I guess what I'm getting to is that you really need to know troubleshooting a TCP/IP environment and WINS. Hope this helps.
