| this is on the examnotes practice exam:
you want to track send and recieve rates on tcp/ip traffic on seven servers. what tool do you use?
a. performance monitor
b. network monitor
c. bogus
d. bogus
answer - b
ive seen it also as "a" on other practice exams...

| When you want to monitor protocol traffic on your network, Network Monitor is what is used.
It also seems to be the answer they are usually looking for when asking about monitoring "traffic" on your network.
Well, that's what I've experienced anyway 
I'd answer "B"

| i agree...as i am sitting here watching network monitor on my test server count frames sent and recieved...
but it never hurts to double check... | |

Keyword here is "traffic" everytime you see it the answer is just about guaranteed to be NetMon...

| ive installed snmp on my test server, and STILL cant find any counter in performance monitor for send and recieve rate for tcp/ip...and yet, ive seen it as the answer again on a different practice test...what gives?? | |

| make sure you did not justinstall the SNMP agent...
