Author Another one bites the dust! Yeah!

2000-11-25, 3:54 pm

I could not waste another second knowing time is counting down. I figured if I failed I would write it next Friday again!

So I went and registered to take the test Friday at 4pm and by 4:15 I started the test. Done by 5pm!

It was rough! I had at least 16 simulations, 2 drag and drops (5 in each), and only 2 subnetting questions.

The scenario were very similar to EE 5.5 and Transcenders 4.0 scenario questions.

There were a couple of simple questions relating to subnets, about another 4. You just needed to decide if they were on the same subnet or the class.

But with your help Kata_dalast_Kappa in understanding how to use the subnetting chart I passed!

Thanks to everyone for posting examples and working them out with me!

On to IIS!

Peace,
GalaxyGal

AWSOME, congrads, I'm sooo proud of you!!
I still don't know what i did wrong, it might have been the wording of the questions?
Now that your TCP/IP Certified, maybe you can tutor me !! :-)

Oh wow I just emailed you!

Thanks it was rough I tell you! 15-16 scenario questions at least. 5 on replication, 4 on DHCP, 4 on WINS/DNS and 2 on future DNS or WINS upgrade (those were weird.

Try to figure out where you are weak so I can try to help.

Peace out,
GalaxyGal

Alright! Way to Go! Now that you passed the test what do you think of supaneta dump that you heard was good? My buddy took the test and barely passed. All he studied was transcender. Do you think that that is a pretty good baseline to go by? Transcender and supaneta?

I also used EE 5.5 and HotNews which I got at MCSEGuide I think.

But the exam was very confusing. So it is best to see the same sorts of questions over and over again!

Thanks MxPX, Freak, BUGSZ, Tomdove118 for all your support and thank you Chogge for answering all my silly questions. I know it helped my friend pass so it is only a matter of time before I do!

Stay in touch and I will definitely be floating around on this board for CCNA and 2K.

Thanks again,
GalaxyGal

Congratulations! Since you are gonna attack IIS, remember what I said, take your time on the simulations. One approach is to do all the simulations first, then the rest. This may work for you. Transcenders have good simulations. Books I used to prepare were Administering IIS4 (ISBN 0070655367)and Rapid Review (ISBN 1882419979)for a quick, straight and to the point last look. The first is not exam-objective oriented but is an excellent source.
Good Luck.
