NT 4.0 Certification Option

| Is it possible to be certified as a NT 4.0 track MCSE with the following scenario ?:
1. Complete ALL 4(four) CORE requirements
by 12/31/2000.
2. Complete elective TCP/IP (70-059) by
12/31/2000.
3. Complete elective MS Proxy Server 2.0
(70-088) in Jan. 2001 (This is not
scheduled to be retired by 12/31/2000). | |

| Actually, here's your answer from MS FAQ:
Q. If I have passed all core exams in the Windows NT 4.0 MCSE track by December 31, 2000, but have not yet passed my elective exams by that date, can I still continue to earn my certification?
A. Yes, if you have passed all core exams in the Windows NT 4.0 MCSE track exams by December 31, 2000, you may continue to earn your MCSE certification in the Windows NT 4.0 track, as long as the electives you select have not retired.
So the answer is YES!... I'm taking the 4 core, then TCP/IP and Exchange 5.5 also.

| thanks very much!! the one place i didnt look on MS was the FAQ...
im still going to try to knock out tcp for sure and hopefully IIS 4.0 by 12-31...but there is a realistic side to me as well that is telling me to go ahead and come up with a plan B, which is exchange 5.5 by 1-31. i HAVE to get this done by 1-31...i have two great kids that miss their DAD!! | |
