Advice on which test to take for MCP
|

| I am currently studying for the CCNA and would like to persue the MCP or MCP+. From the MCSE, what is the recommneded test to take 1st. And what is the easist test to take for the MCP. Is there more then 1 test you have to pass for the MCP+ exam.
THANK YOU...

| Mike,
You only have to pass one test for the MCP, but several tests are acceptable. If you have worked with Windows NT Workstation then the Windows NT Workstation exam would be first. If you are much more versed in NT Server then take the Server exam. If you are heavy into TCP/IP you could start there. IMHO NT Workstation is the easiest exam to get your MCP.
Keep in mind these exams retire 12/31/2000 and therefore the MCP cert. for them expires 12/31/2001.

| Troy thanks for the feedback. I was not aware that the NT WRK would retire at the end of the year. I guess that applies for all of the NT4 courses. I know a little about NT WRK, thou i have never installed it. If that is the easiest one then I will check into it.
