Hey Guys:

Until an official statement has been made by Microsoft I wouldn't count on it! Since when do they do favours?

Until an official statement has been made it is still just speculation, and that speculation could be wrong!

I see your point, but in this case, I am pretty sure that it is true.

I agree with freak. I went into the MCT newsgroups and got caught up. It's all over the place there.

Maybe I'm crazy, but it seems to me that no source was mentioned that there may be an integrity problem with that rumour.

It also seems to me that if Microsoft were allowing the extension they would have announced it by now, since we are only 3 weeks from the end of the year.

It also seems to me that there have been no official statements by Microsoft.

It also seems to me that this may be a ploy to get people to stop trying for the NT4 track until after Christmas, only to find out that Microsoft stuck to the original plan and cancelled the exams.

All I am saying is do not slack off or stop studying until Microsoft makes a statement.

Until then everything is speculation and heresay.

Hey guys:

I also went to Microsoft's site which was just updated 5 days ago to be sure - and there is no mention of an extension anywhere on their site.

Until Microsoft announces an extension, keep studying and don't believe everything you hear.

The 'public' announcement is supposed to be made this week. I agree that anyone fast-tracking now should stick to it.

MS isn't doing anyone any favors. The end of year deadline, the holidays, and testing center availability is causing problems. The demand is high for NT exams, so if more people will take the NT exams if they can get into a testing center, that equals more $$ for MS. It's economics for MS, not a favor for the public.

Paisleyskye, are you an MCT as well? I did not realize that. It would be interesting to know how many of us there are on this board...

Freak:

No, actually I'm not an MCT, but I've been thinking about it when I finish my MCSE on December 11th.

I have a friend who is an MCT though, so she is sort of teaching me the ropes.

I amy go the route of Certified Technical Trainer - haven't decided yet.

One thing I do know is that after December 11th I am going to take a vacation from studying for at least 2 weeks. It's been a long hard year!

Okay:

I just called Microsoft and spoke to someone named Leslie. Microsoft has heard the rumour, and is currently in diliberations, deciding what to do about it. They will make an official decision on Thursday.

I guess it doesn't really matters to me either way, as I already have my MCSE, but I think they should extend it, if only so that people can enjoy the end of year celebrations...
