| Went in at 9:50, came out at 10:05. I probably could/should have checked my answers, and caught where I went wrong, but I was in a hurry to get back to work (real world stuff going on) and figured I had passed.
Exam Essentials, Rampage/Panpage had all of the questions I saw... including the one where you have the ipx network, 3 ip networks (2 with same subnet and one different) and have to choose where to put a router, gateway, bridge, or hub.
Good stuff, now on to Proxy for the 15th. Been studying like hell for that one.

| great job! Good luck with proxy. My advice: load up a box with proxy and start playing!

keep that fire burning though, and you'll be doen in no time!
Ciao,

| Thanks everyone
Galaxy: Yeah I've got that fire burning, and it's under my behind... since I already booked the las two exams, it gives me that added incentive to keep my nose in the books, and my eyes on the exam questions to assess my weaknesses.
I'll throw something on topic and recommend some sources for this exam:
- www.mcsefreak.com ...some good info there for those of you reviewing what you know.
- Exam Cram 70-058 book. If you don't have it yet, it might be discounted at your local computer book store, as it will be off the shelves soon enough. I saw NT in the Enterprise on clearance for 2.99!
- Exam Essentials 70-058 module. Good for testing what you know. Saw many similar questions on the exam.
- Panpage/Rampage dump. Also good for testing what you know. I'll never ever ever recommend a dump for learning, but I'll recommend it for testing and focusing your knwoledge to where it needs to be concentrated.
Know the OSI model. OSI is your friend. Not the kind of friend that comes around asking for money, but the friend who you need to hang out with because they have something you need.
Know the different cabling and topologies of the networks. You'll see those on the exam.
Know the routers, hubs, repeaters, bridges, gateways... and when to use them. Know what layer they are at. Repeater (P), Bridge (DL), Brouter (DL/N), Router (N), Gateway (Any but usually Transport or above)
