Author Am I the only one left?

Please tell me I'm not the only bum who has waited until now to take Net Essentials!

I'm set to go on 12/6, and have done all 229 questions on Exam Essentials and got 4 wrong. (Has anyone else used this for N.E.? Is it accurate?)

I read my Exam Cram, like a good boy, and have also done a few Petri tests, and done well on them.

Anyways, is there anything in particular I should be watching out for on this exam? Trick questions and what not?

Sounds like you are ready. HOw about Transcenders? Have you done those? They were not the best, but it is always interesting to try different things

Freak: Haven't done the transcenders on this one. My wife has a "Learn net essentials in 14 days" book that I may scour for questions in.. but between the exam cram, exam essentials, and Petri's exams... I think I have a good base of concepts. Plus taking the exam LAST helps out because when they throw "domain model" in the answer, I know what they're talking about

rpin: I'm in the same spot as you. Essentials and 2 electives. Only thing is, I've booked all 3 exams! 12/6 is essentials, 12/15 is proxy (already been reading the Sybex book this weekend) and 12/29 is exchange (Have the sybex book). For those I also have exam essentials, Bear's dump (proxy), Petri (for exchange), and any sources I can scrape together. For me it's not about the questions and answers, it's about the variety and rewordings they have between them. And once I've gotten comfortable with the questions, I'll find a really bad dump that has wrong answers, or has answers in dispute, and research the answers for myself to be sure. Ian's dump for Enterprise has disputed and wrong answers, and I was able to pick them up.

Stick around guys, I have a feeling we'll be sweating 70-240 soon enough.

Then again, I might skip the 240 and just do the exams individually. The whole idea of having to pass all 4 segments and not having a total passing score smells like a rat. It's better to take the tests on their own, I think.

kenny,
im going to go the tcp/ip & IIS 4.0 route for my electives - that way i think you also get your MCP+I...man i hope i can get thru them by 12-31, because im confused as to which tests can carry over past 12-31 and still get the NT4.0 MCSE...

I'm here also. I am using Transcenders and EE and the the usual dumps. I am going to take it this Wednesday.

Cool, we have a gaggle of people here!
Procrastination RULES~!

I think I'm OK as far as Essentials goes, but I tend to trip myself up a bit with 10base2, 10base5 etc sometimes (forgot the 30 limitation on 10base2...)

Anyone else getting themselves confused from time to time on certain things?

**Raises hand**. Yes, I am still getting myself confused with things from time to time. I THINK I have the different cabling types down pat, it is the OSI model and the IEEE stuff that is still getting me. I've been going hardcore on Cramsession. The MS book was just confusing me more so I've decided to 'start small'. I have Exam Cram, (Has anyone else used their online practice tests?), 'In A Nutshell', cramsession, transcender and like I said, the MS book (Scary!). I also have NE and my two electives, I am taking the class for Exchange 5.5 next week. I'm hoping to really bang out some productive studying over the next few days and hopefully do the exam this week!!

Any other suggestions? Comments?

thanks

Ames

Good to see I am not the only procastinator... I have net essentials and two electives (IIS, TCP) to go. Did the 3 NT exams in the last 6 days... the scores are creeping down (900, 866 then 844) but I am happy to have passed!
Get a bit sick of living the MCSE nightmare... good to know I am not alone.
Thanks for all the tips guys.
