Is it true that you must have Net Ess. for the Mcse Nt 4.0 Certification????
|

|
| I am taking some courses through a company called Quick Strike, and I was signed up for the Net+ course and test. Yet, yesterday I found out through all of you nice people that Net+ and Net Ess. are 2 totally different tests. which one is really needed for the Mcse certification. | |

|
Net+ offer by CompTIA and it is a cert, if u had Net+ u can wavie Net Ess on the MCSE.
Net Ess only part of the MCSE.
I am talking about the NT4 MCSE, not the MCSE 2000.
Most people take Net+ because it is a cert but cost more about $185 dollars.

| Comptia talks about the acceptance of N+ by certain vendor, microsoft is not one of them,
visit Comptia page (given below)your self. I am very curious to find out if Microsoft in fact waive netessentials if one has comptia N+.
I wish Kasor (post #123) would post here the source of his information.

| Sorry, Sorry, Sorry,
My MISTAKE, too much study on those cert!
I was confused with Novell and intel.
Eventually they are very similar, so if u passed Net Ess u pass N+.
Microsoft shall do the waive! I hope they do, but since MCSE 2000 is out. No need to do think like this anymore.
Sorry ....! | |
|
| Net+ is not a waiver for Networking Essentials. Networking Essentials is not a waiver for Net+. My information is from Microsoft directly, only CNEs and some other highly certifiable people can waive Networking Essentials. | |
|
| Bottom line is: if you studied for one, you can confidently take the other exam as well.

| Microsoft accepts the Networking Technologies exam from the Novell Engineer track (CNE). CNA certification does nothing for you on this one. Freak is right(as usual)!! Study for one, and you got 'em all!! |
