Novel CNA's can WAIVE the Net Ess test?
|
|
|
| The big confusion is if you are comptia N+ that you dont have to take the MS Net Ess test, which we all know is wrong.
HOWEVER
I heard that if you are Novel CNA (their entry level cert) that you DO NOT have to take the MS Net Ess test. I read this somewhere and for the love of god i can not find it anymore grrr....
anyone heard this?

| This is from the Microsoft Web site, I was hoping that you were right!!!!
Check out www.lanop.com though, you will be pleased to learn about the NT-CIP certification.
Novell, Banyan, and Sun Exemptions
The Microsoft Certified Professional program waives (grants credit for) the networking exam requirement for MCSE and MCSE+Internet candidates who are certified as Novell CNEs, Master CNEs, or CNIs; Banyan CBSs or CBEs; or Sun Certified Network Administrators for Solaris 2.5 or 2.6. Current proof of certification status is required when registering for an exam. (This credit is granted only after the candidate has taken a Microsoft Certified Professional exam.)

|
| What cert are u talking about MCSE or NT-CIP?
For NT-CIP, u need NT Workstation, Server, Enterprise and one option from anyone of these Microsoft Network Essentials, Novell Networking Technologies, CompTIA Network+ or
Cisco CCNA.
NT-CIP will come out their own version of NT after the MS NT is disactive.
For MCSE NT4, if u are certified as Novell CNEs, Master CNEs, or CNIs; Banyan CBSs or CBEs; or Sun Certified Network administrators for Solaris 2.5 or 2.6.
Hope this help, if not. Go to Microsoft and like jameseiv said to lanop.com
