Passed 218 this morning, and trying to plan my next exam.
I'm tempted to go for 216 to use as the elective on mcsa, then do 217 and 219 and another elective for mcse.
However, 216 seems scary and i think i may be better doing something like 244 (NT4) as my mcsa elective, then working through 217 and 219 before trying 216. What do you think?

If you want the MCSE you might as well go for 216. It's really not THAT bad. Personally, I wouldn't go for any NT4 stuff. If nothing else you will get 216 out of the way sooner.

The 244 exam trys to throw you off a bit by trying to get you to choose the 2000 method instead of the NT way. I choose to do this first so that I wouldn't he tempted to choose the 2000 way in the NT exam. If you really know NT well though it shouldn't be a problem.

I would go for the 216 then 217 and 219.
217 + 219 are easier taking back to back as it's the same topics. 216 will help you on the DNS issues that the 217 drills you on.

Thanks for the advice. I'll see y'all in the 216 forum then.

Microsoft is already bugging me to upgrade my Win2K MCSE to the next version. The upgrade requires the passing of 2 exams, which would cost about $US 500 to study for and take, plus a month of intensive study.

I only completed the original one a year ago.
